What do I do with my trash bags for trash pick-up days?

Residents are asked to place their trash at 7:00 AM close to the curb the morning of trash pick up.  This prevents animals from tearing into the trash and causing unsightly and unsanitary conditions.

City Ordinance No. B-389, Section 4.3c states “On collection days only, residents will place filled bags on property owned, rented or under their control, at a point as near the curb line as practical.”

What days of the week are trash pick-up days?

Collection Days are split up on a Monday/Thursday Pick up Schedule and a Tuesday/Friday pick up schedule. The Sanitation Pickup Days map is attached below.

What is the large trash policy?

For a Large Item pick up, call the Sanitation Department at (870) 246-1804.  If you get the answering machine, please leave a clear message stating the address and a brief description of what is to be picked up.

  1. The department does not do same day pickups.
  2. Tree limbs only. Must be less than 10 feet long.
  3. No trunks or logs, or spoils of timber/tree removal. Tree trunks, stumps, and spoils from the tree removal are to pay the same fees as listed on item 7 below.
  4. Must be by the curb, not in the street. Do not obstruct any utility meters or wire, etc.
  5. No bagged leaves.
  6. We cannot pick up tires, batteries, shingles, demolished building materials, cardboard, cross ties or trash bags.
  7. Commercial customers are allowed one pick-up per quarter. Additional pick-ups can be made at a minimum fee of $75.00 per truck trip to the site plus landfill fees ($25.75 per ton or $44.00 per ton if paper products are mixed with the debris).
